Bang Albino Names Pharma Vet Don MacEachern Director of Strategy & New Business Development
TORONTO, ONTARIO-- (Sept. 14, 2012) -- Bang Albino Communications, a multi-channel marketing agency, today announced that it has tapped pharma marketing pro Don MacEachern as the company's Director of Strategy & New Business Development. The appointment coincides with the recent growth in marketing services that Bang Albino has been providing to leading companies in the Canadian pharmaceutical industry.
"Don brings a wealth of experience promoting prescription drugs in Canada, having worked at prominent pharmaceutical companies on leading brands across a range of therapeutic categories," said Bang Albino President Mark Ashdown.

A 20-plus year veteran of the pharmaceutical industry, MacEachern comes to Bang Albino from Boehringer Ingelheim Canada (BICL), where he most recently served as a Senior Product Manager. While at Boehringer IngeIheim, MacEachern was responsible for developing marketing programs for the company's portfolio of cardiovascular (Micardis, Twynsta), stroke (Aggrenox) and urology (Flomax CR) products in the Canadian Market. He also oversaw BICL's Mature Products business and acted as its Marketing Liaison to the Caribbean. In his eight years at the company, MacEachern racked up a host of internal awards and acknowledgements, including The Global Micardis Award for achieving the largest percentage gain in market share amongst worldwide Boehringer Ingelheim countries, the Tribute Award for innovation for his work on Micardis and an additional nomination for the launch of Twynsta. MacEachern's other stop in pharma was at GlaxoSmithKline, where he developed marketing programs in support of GSK's portfolio of asthma, allergy, smoking cessation, and depression products. MacEachern hails from a family of seasoned pharma professionals, with both his sister and brother having worked in the industry for decades.
